HIGHLIGHTING MĀORI SUICIDE PREVENTION INITIATIVES ACROSS THE COUNTRY
Between 2014 and 2017, Te Rau Ora (then Te Rau Matatini) had the privilege of supporting 47 Māori community suicide prevention and post-vention initiatives across Aotearoa. Upon conclusion of this exciting initiative all projects were evaluated and their findings individually published. These are now available on line (below).
Launched in February 2014, the Waka Hourua Community Fund was a one-off contestable fund of $2 million established to support community-based suicide intervention initiatives or projects.
The Māori Waka Hourua Community Fund initiatives are showcased under three groupings as shown below.
