Organization Name: Wellness Whānau Operation Black Dog

Person Name: Mathew Connolly

Location: Mt Wellington, Auckland

This project is aimed at suicide prevention by looking at the complexities and contributing factors and providing practical training in self-care strategies. We build on the principles of Te Ao Māori to achieve inclusive resilient whānau and communities, and to strengthen health literacy and physical education.  We are uniquely offering a makeover photo shoot that whānau get to keep and treasure as a taonga for the whānau and individuals who participate. Participants can take part in online challenges, physical games and drills that help strengthen and build whānau, plus a self-mastery course with online modules with a membership site to establish community support and connectivity.
